John Polewski: Personal Injury Lawyer
Serving Dallas, DeSoto, Duncanville, Midlothian and Waxahachie, Texas
J
ohn Polewski graduated near the top of his law school class in 1984. While there, Mr. Polewski won his school's trial advocacy, appellate advocacy and legal writing competitions, and was appointed to the Law Review. After law school, Mr. Polewski passed the Texas Bar examination with the second highest score of the more than 2,000 people who took the examination with him, and began his career representing and advising clients in major personal injury and business cases at a nationally recognized law firm. In 1993 Mr. Polewski formed the first of his own law firms and has been a principal shareholder in his own law firm ever since.
Mr. Polewski is active and respected in his business community, having recently served as Chairman of his local Chamber of Commerce and as president of his Rotary Club. Mr. Polewski currently sits on the boards of three Chambers of Commerce as well as on the boards of other charitable and civic organizations.
Well known and respected by both trial lawyers and judges, and having represented not only plaintiffs but also major corporations and their insurers, Mr. Polewski has extensive knowledge that lawyers who have never been on the "inside" of defense and plaintiff's circles simply do not have. Now in his 24th year of law practice, Mr. Polewski's qualifications are unique, as are the results he obtains for his clients.
"I have known Mr. Polewski since he became an attorney in 1984. I presided over his first jury trial which he won against an attorney many years his senior. It is a comment on his professionalism that on that occasion, the lawyer that he defeated offered him a job on the spot. Nothing in his career in the years since has changed the very high opinion of Mr. Polewski that I have always had of him."
- John McClellan Marshall, Senior Judge,
Fourteenth Judicial District of Texas
Unlike the vast majority of lawyers who claim expertise in the courtroom, Mr. Polewski is certified by the Board of Legal Specialization of the State Bar of Texas as a personal injury trial law specialist. This certification, obtained only after an additional specialized examination, extensive trial experience and recommendation by other trial lawyers and by trial judges, is by no means a routine accomplishment: less than 3% of all Texas lawyer possess this qualification. Due to his success in handling major personal injury cases, Mr. Polewski has an even rarer qualification-membership in the Million Dollar Advocates Forum. Mr. Polewski is also a member of the American Association for Justice and the Texas and Dallas Trial Lawyer's Association, as well as the College of the State Bar of Texas.
Mr. Polewski has top ratings in the Martindale-Hubbell division of the Lexis-Nexis Company. The Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings system, used by legal consumers for over 100 years, is based on the confidential opinions of other lawyers and judges familiar with the lawyer being rated. Martindale-Hubbell representatives conduct personal interviews to discuss lawyers under review, and send confidential questionnaires to lawyers and judges in the same geographic location and/or area of practice as the lawyer being rated. Respondents are asked to assess the lawyer's legal ability and general ethical standards.
Mr. Polewski's legal skills were rated by other lawyers and judges as "very high to pre-eminent" and his ethical standards were rated as "very high"-both of which are the top ratings possible.
