Andrew Gross is both a doctor and a lawyer. He received his medical degree from the prestigious Albert Einstein College of Medicine, graduating with Honors. After graduation from medical school, Dr. Gross undertook another four years of specialized medical training in general and cardiovascular surgery, at which point he began practicing medicine and surgery in New York City. In 1995 Dr. Gross graduated from Seton Hall University School of Law and began his career representing injured people and their families in medical malpractice cases.
Because of his unique training and experience, Dr. Gross is in high demand both as an attorney and as a consultant to other attorneys handling complex medical malpractice cases. With a proven record of success, including multi-million dollar settlements and jury verdicts, Dr. Gross' clients benefit from knowledge and experience that simply cannot be matched at other law firms.
The fact that Dr. Gross is an experienced surgeon as well as an attorney means that the firm of Polewski & Associates is able to quickly spot malpractice that other firms miss, and that the firm has access to information and to experts that other firms do not.
Medicine is a huge, complicated and technical field of science. Proving that a doctor made a mistake in this complex field requires scientific expertise and a legal team that can't be fooled by scientific jargon-- and won't let a jury be fooled either. That is why having Dr. Gross on our team makes all the difference in the world.
Although Dr. Gross has extensive experience as an advocate in pre-trial hearings and trials, his special interest is the deposition of expert witnesses, including the testifying experts, treating physicians or defendant doctors in medical malpractice. His expertise and ability to understand the complex nature of medicine enables him to quickly develop testimony to aid his clients. Dr. Gross is licensed to practice Medicine in the State of New York and is licensed to practice Law in Texas, New York and New Jersey. He regularly litigates cases across the Southwest, including Oklahoma, New Mexico and Arkansas.
Dr. Gross is neither a partner nor an employee of the firm, but works with us as “of-counsel” on some of our medical negligence cases and cases involving particularly complex injuries.
